i'll give a quick breakdown of my situation, if you can give any help it's greatly appreciated..
i use pj64k with Jabo plugins for SSB and for some reason by the time i get to character select and move my mouse over them it starts to lag (guess it's the character sprites) which also causes me to lag a lot in combat
i've set priority to high for pj64k and i've even tried it with Nemu(works lag free with nemu using the same plugins) could someone give me a list of things i could do to improve my lag, i've looked at most of the things on this board and none of them have helped me yet, could be my computer(?)

700mhz, 320mb ram, geforce2 mx400

edit: also i've tried with all versions of pj64k i've seen, would really like it to work with netplay

My recommendation is to stop using PJ64. It might be the most stable emulator with the most features (such as the cheats) right now, but 1964 and Nemu will run it a lot faster, especially with a low-end computer. To get some more speed, try changing the counter factors for the game, the higher the CF, the greater the speed, change the CF to the highest stable and playable number should help. Just make sure you use Jabo's D3D6 1.5 plugin for the most speed.

Funny, ra5555, I've found Project 64 to be the fastest emulator on my beast, giving me a constant 60 FPS with limiter, and 250-400+ depending on the game without it.

But then again, your system is good enough (by far) to handle pj, so... :baaa:
