A tournament is going to start for Super Smash Brothers on kaillera with Project64k.


Rules:

-Registration can be only done through posting on this thread on this forum.
-Register:
Netplay Name
Character Choice
Contact Info (email, aim, etc.)
-Player limit is 16 for this tourney


-Only cheat code to be turned on - All Characters.
-Win 2 out of 3 games.
-5 lives.
-If lag occurs, restart and try to find a new server where both players can play. You can set the priority of the program on high through task manager.
-If desync occurs, you must pause and declare that a desync has occured. Determine whether or not it has indeed occured, and then determine the point at which it occured (Before or after someone died, etc.). Restart, and proceed to kill yourselfs until the amount of lives was the same as it was. No cheapness. Try to determine how desync occured as well.
-Stage is based on both players decision.
-Use the character only you registered with at the beginning.
-Both players must report the scores either to me at jetaimaster on AIM, on the thread at the below link, or directly to me in one of the kaillera servers.
-Report the following:
1)Winning Player
2)Losing Player
3)Score
-If match isn't played before time, the player who didn't contact the other forfeits.
-No spectators.

Sorry to say, but Kaillera is not very good for holding tourneys. This is because the fact that there are no passwords for nicknames and it is not possible to positively identify a particular player if someone decides to fake an nickname.

NOTE: The emutalk tourney and the one on GameFAQS tourney ARE NOT THE SAME!!! Katon did one on emutalk so that people that didn't belong on GameFAQS could still participate. You are allowed to participate in both tournaments. I host the one on GameFAQS.

About identifing people: Thats why you gave us character, just another thing to personally indentify you. Yes, its not for sure, but i dont think there will be a problem. (there hasnt been in the past, i've already done one)

The brackets I have for my tournamernt aren't filled in, the ones for the current tournemant are. Also, its assumed that you use the pj64k .12 and the (U) and [!] vers. You dont need to make a rule.

Whatevr, you do, make it multiples of 8, that way the bracket is least messy. You know, only one big by, at the end. I think I might make mine 24, i haven't decided...

You really should stick with powers of 2... not multiples of 8. With 24 you'll have to have a three-player final.

like what? 32 is too many, he doesnt have 16, (and i only have 18, BTW, katon, so dont cry. IM me when you get a chance ill tell you what to do). Well 16 (2^4) might be too few, but 32 (2^5) is too many, methinks. The emulator just isn't well-known yet, its just known. If it's 24, then one person can get a by, or they can play a three player round robin sort of thing, which I might do, so it's up to you katon, whatever you want.
