I was playing Zelda: Mask of Majora for a while with no problems. Somewhere in the Deku Palace my sound stopped working. I thought it would eventually come back but it never did.

When I start a new game the sound works fine. I tried a few different plugins but nothing restores the sound. Any ideas on how I can get the sound back? I was using Alzimer's old plugin when the problem started if that matters.

I have not played that game in 1964 (yet) but there's one question than can help us. If you load the game via thw own saved game (the one form the game, not form the emulator fast save) the problem continues?

The sound works when I do a load from the main menu. This is from a state before the problem occured though as I don't use the regular save/load mechanism during game play. Does that tell you anything?

Your state got corrupted, you're screwed, use in-game saving in the future. At least thats my take on it. Save states tend to be horribly unstable.

No :\

uhm.....

Have you tried saving the game regular way after that? then reset and continue playing.

Yeah, saving the game at an owl statue then loading restored things. Thanks for the help. Since I never used normal saves I didn't think about that.

They can solve many problems :)
Try that next time you see things like this happen!

Wow! I wouldn't expect that worked!! xDD Greetings. Continue playing, and defeat Skull Kid. You can do it!!

*sigh* if I only had time to defeat it for myself :\
