Some problems i've had with eVoodoo (both 3.25 & the new beta) since Glide64 4.0 was released. Problems are still there in Glide64 4.1. I am posting this to report issues.
System Specs:
PIII-M 900mhz
Ati Mobility M4 (Rage 128 chipset) 32MB
512MB Ram
Windows XP Pro
Using PJ64 1.5. Default Glide64 settings. Default PJ64 Settings. Fast Alternate Z-Buffer off, texture filtering on, alternate lighting on (what does this do?)
Notice the black number (all numbers in OoT & MM other than 0 and the max for that item,) as well as the black letters for the action icon. I have this same problem with Jabo's D3D, Validate Blending fixed it (but caused other problems) when it was still an option. This worked in Glide64 3.1, but broke in 4.0.
Notice the chopped up shadows. I think McLeod is aware of the depth problems. Since Glide64 3.0, using Z-Buffer in Glide64 in unusuable, W-Buffer must be set. I would attach screenshots of the chopped distant polygons or the chopped paths in this game but I think he's well aware.
Notice the new problem with 4.1 (was fine in 4.0) of the Mirror Shield being blank.
Also notice the hearts don't have the white outline they should have.
Also the magic meter is a shade of black instead of green.
This picture shows most of the problems i've had with eVoodoo & Glide64.

Lens of truth in Majora's Mask. You can see hidden objects outside of the circle where you shouldn't be able to. I think this is a known issue, but here's a pic just in case.

Changes Color and Alpha? modes, wouldnt recommend it for Glide64.

This is a combiner mode not supported by evoodoo, which is being repaired. (I hope) *Looks at McLeod*

We are aware to those problems

That version of evoodoo is very very outdated, the new version of evoodoo has these problems fixed. Also, evoodoo is being rewritten so you will be able to suite evoodoo for your video card.
Thanks for the report.

No, I think you are confused, i'm using the newest eVoodoo, those problems are with eVoodoo 3.25 and the "leaked" beta. I said 4.0/4.1 referring to the Glide64 version. So obviously those problems aren't fixed, unless I am confused...

Maybe its evoodoo, or its your ATI? Of course McLeod is busy with other things, I will show him this thread next time I see him.

Don't use alternate lightning, it causes more than it fixes...
some of these problems are known: ie, the mirror shield, the magic meter.
And there is no "leaked" beta. It's an released version.
And afaik, there is no newer version than eVoodoo 3.25 release (the package included evoodoo 3.25 actually).

I'll take the author's word on that one :plain:
Oh, I forgot to mention the most important part: thank you to everyone involved for the best n64 gfx plugin & the best (albeit only) glide3x wrapper. Very happy to see you're picking it up again Mcleod.
I had a few small chats with Mcleod on irc a ways back, and I sent him the caps for my video card, which he hopefully still has. He said it's not missing anything critical. Ati can't get it straight however, and I wouldn't be surprized one bit if the video card was lying to DX about it's abilities!
One thing is certain: anything ati pre-radeon is a piece of crap. My video card barely works (if at all) with any other plugin, and it's supposed to be new! (for a laptop.) 350mhz ramdac, 32mb ram, 4x agp, but what's the point when it can barely do anything? You bet your ass I wished I shelled out an extra 75 bucks for that Geforce 2go. And Dell won't sell the damn things, even though it'll work for sure in my machine, the bios and motherboard are made for it.

Over the one who *know* exacly what's put in as it's the author? If you want proof, compare that version to et's evoodoo and the one on glide64's homepage. Check the evoodoo log, you'll see the version number is exacly the same.
So it's released.

So what was the point of that other topic you made? It seemed to have mislead people into thinking it was a new version when in reality it is the same old 3.25 bundled with 2 simple batch files you added. :ermm:

Well!
Many people seem to have problems with getting the wrapper to work, so some of the testers (mainly me and cpu) wanted an installation program. So i couldn't think of a better oppertunity than to bundle them with the control panel config.
