N64 > USB Controller Adapter (Working, plz)

For Some Very Strange and odd reason, the neither the adaptoid or N64/PSX adapter that is always advertised here seem to work on my system. and I ave tryed everything and have even contacted the makers and still cannot get them working.

my question is, how possible is it to build my own? or maybe even splice a USB cable into the controller?

nope. just the adaptoid. cuz I have a USB scanner here and it works fine.

im just hoping that my USB isnt fried. of course it would give me a reason to upgrade to 2.0
