how to play the games...HELP!

Ok my specs are:
AMD Athlon 1.33 ghz
524 mb ram
n'vidia geforce 4 ti4200

Everytome i start the EMU it says:

Direct 3d failed to initialize your HAL device
make sure you properly configured
3D graphics card compatible with Direct3d 6.0

I have no idea what to do...

What Direct X Version do you have? You should be fine if you have v8.1 or 9. Also, get the latest nVidia drivers as this could help from www.nvidia.com

I ahve DX: 8.1 and the newsest drivers

Try this:

Go to:

Start>Run and type DXdiag, now go to where it says Display.

Go to the Acceleration options, and disable every option, then enable them again. Do the tests and observe if they all pass.

If they pass then try PJ64 again, if they fail then tell us the fail code.

it wont let me disable anything...the buttons are gray

Reboot your computer, then retry doing what I just said - sounds like DirectX has disabled itself for some reason.

So none of the buttons are clickable? If after a restart it doesn't work still, then reinstall DirectX.
