Can i ask you why people are still using those very old gcc versions ?? gcc 2.96 is buggy as hell and shouldn't be used by anyone and gcc 2.95 is really too old and have poor performances compared to 3.x series... And the 3.x are stable now... Sometimes i get a 30% speed boost with 3.x...

Well that said i want to find a solution, i do not believe that the problem is because i've compiled it with gcc3 because i'm not using c++ but i may have missed a compiler option..

Could u tell me exactly with which plugins are u having problems ? And what kind or errors ?
