What is a good free host, that supports php or cgi ? i want to start devin my site again, and this time by myself, nobody wanted to help so i scrapped the project. But ill do it myself this time. So what is a good host ? like to test your pages? links ? and all that ?Thanks in advance. by the way im the real nike006, i just put eddy since ikonboard got killed by martin

What's the difference? when the other board ran it crashed the server on a daily basis ... actualy towards the end a few times a day. I know our server host is happy to see it go, since they had to reboot the server a lot of the times. anyways so either way it was a dead board. :D

I am personaly happy to see it go, because I would rather see my site and the server running then having the server crashing all the time. We tried our best to solve the issues ... I am already tired of ib3 and even killed my own board because of the stuff we went through. Was it worth it in the end? I say yes, even though we lost a whole lot of content over the past year, it was really the only choice we had. Sorry to all those that are upset by the move, we do feel sorry to do this but it was the best choice for the server, hosted sites, and hosted forums on this board.

I like the new board more than ikonboard. Though this has a worse apperance, its pretty good. Functioning very good. Im real happy with the new board. Its more stable so far.

there are tools to convert databases back and forth between ikonboard and many other boards

also this board is hosted on a RAQ, which aren't personally the best choice for sites with high server load.... my feelings regarding RAQs are established, (mainly since their damm expensive to buy and maintain, and installing other software voids the warranty)

wow.. you enter a thread about webspace and you end up reading bout Martins cruel intents :p.. Martin you boardkiller you hahaha.. anyways.. yah the other board was cool.. and everyone feels they've lost a hell of a bunch of stuff.. but it wasn't working good anyways.. and imo the choices Martin make should be treated like an emulator.. with respect.. it's him paying for it.. and his trying to have a site that works.. all of us are more or less guests here.. so i don't think we have any right to criticize :p ..

kinda like a host search list.. they have lists of a whole bunch of hosts.. maybe you'll find one that does it for ya :).. think there are more sites like that but i don't remember the urls..
