meh this is Sven (in a deep Nancy voice) playing around, he could have played a stronger side, but he's got to mix it up a bit, and I'm sure Arsenal would have been pissed if he'd used Seaman because of the game with ManU this weekend.

Yes, you're right. I mean, they really turn on the heat for important Euro qualifying matches. Like against Macedonia. *lol*

a bump in the road? well we have beaten a full strength french squad, brazil and now england.. only problem is we hardly can field our good squad due to the european clubs.. so don't under estimate australian soccer squad.. :)

basically its the clubs screwing round and the english seniors have no passion, svens a good manager if you want a bad one, get berti vogts.

To call the side we put out a full strength England sqaud is kind of laughable ;)
I cant be bothered following england anymore but that was not a full strength squad. Pretty much all the players couldnt be bothered with the match

i dont know about the second part, beckham was on the sideline begging to be put back on, and he wasnt alone apperentley, but sven was under pressure from fergie and arsene.. hes gonna have a "meeting" with the top managers from the premiership to see if this issue can be resolved
i seriously think we have a squad that could have won the world cup, but just didnt have the passion and fire... thats svens weak point, master tactician, weak motivator

oh well.. there under 21 side is on paper stronger then our seniors as we don't have such a good league and development programmes.. as for the side we played, frank farina(our coach), told Sven that he could sub any time and as many times as he wanted.. we only have 2 known players, Viduka and Kewell.. there maybe a rematch in australia if we can convince the poms

Indeed, Personally I feel that a result away from home(draw) is more important than any other tie. If you dont lose away from home, 9x out of 10 you will get through.

Just this year it has been whoopings in
Cricket
Tennis
Soccer
Rugby League
in soccer you may not have had a full strength team but for us to gett two goals against you 'semi' team in on half was just shameful. i dont care what you say about its strength, the players you had definately had it in them to win a soccer match. :)
and most recently was the league 38-0? sure helens played decent but the mighty roosters kicked them outta the park, and dont bitch about finches try cause if you knew the rules you would know he wasnt going for the ball, i mean he could even see the damn thing.
all in all, the poms are really bowing out when it comes to sport :P

You're right. Everytime we lose he blames the players, Never himself, when it is down to him. We need a manager which can organise the team as there is talent there. Look at Rep. of Ireland at the time Mick Mcarthy did a fantastic job, he organised them got there confidence up and nearly took them to the quater finals in the world cup. My point is, I simply cant c that happin to us with berti.

I think hes brought in this whole mentality that scotland are a poor football team. we should atleast be beating ireland, on paper we have a very good squad with the likes of ferguson & lambert but he thinks they belong to div 2 teams. how about miller , burchill, mcinnes and so many others hes not even considered + this guy was managing kuwait or someone before we moved in, talk about creditentals!

To be considered the BEST in the 4 sports they r doing so well at the moment they should:-
1. Football - they should beat brazil
2. Cricket - they should beat the proteas(south africa)
3. Rugby - they should bt the all blacks(have they done that already tho recently??)
4. Tennis - bt the USA
thats it:D;)

Nothing in football for a looong time. Unfortunatly our rugby league has gone down hill. 5/6 years ago we had the best games against the aussies. The Club world cup was always hard fought and you could never say who would win. The test matches I saw back then rocked. I was even at one at Old Trafford when we won. One of the best games I have ever seen :)
Sad days for British rugby league:(

Italy are a good team now actually, in the last tournament they played really well. So I dont know why people are shocked when they win games.
Although Italy must have had a hard time in the first few years training,
"damnit no when someone hits you dont dive!!"
"get up!! hes not going to give you the penalty!!":D

Thats kinda how the argentines and brazilians play football;):D(case in point : rivaldo vs. uruguay i think wc 2002) its almost as if he was clutching his gut when the ball struck his leg:D
