When I first got the dll, the downstream was showed right.
But since today, it's not right anymore. When I download at 80KB/sec for example, darkengine will show 20KB/sec. I checked it with DUmeter. It is actually downloading at 80, but the moment you use the downstream command in mirc, it drops to 20 for a second or so.
This, I think is weird... :-)

Could it be that this only happens when using dcc ?

Possibly the way mirc does sends might be the reason. The bandwidth function doesnt round, it tells you how much you are transferring that second. I could estimate but who would want mirc locked up for 10 seconds :P

nope
The moment I use the dll for retrieving my dl-speed,
my DCC speed drops from f.e. 100KB to 10KB and then the dll outputs: "I'm downloading at 10KB/sec"
:'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
