Porting to other OS's

Unfortunately Delphi is a proprietary language. It means that it's only possible to compile it with the borland's tool (I heard one day about FreePascal but i don't think it's mature enough to compile any delphi program without a problem...). I know there's Borland Kylix on linux and it can prolly compile many programs without a problem... For other OS i don't know but i guess you can find some infos on borland's web site.
