Help..GTAIII is toooo slooow

Hey,guys..I can't do anymore to make this game playable..GTA3
is too slow(especially while driving)even after I set up DX8.1&Nvidia Donator.>_<
please help me..I loove this game very much.

128 MB Ram
Pantium III 1200MHZ
Creative vibra 128 sound card

its your graphics card... make sure you select 640*480 resolution and make sure you stay on there.

and make sure to set 'dynamic accoustic models' or whateva in sound menu OFF - gives you a nice FPS bust :]

Also more RAM would help. I played GTA with 128MB and it was really slow at times.

You can't GTAIII get to run @ full speed. Updating your drivers will make the game running faster but not at full speed. www.nvidia.com for drivers for your card!

Plus GTA3 for pc has a lag problem, which hasnt been fixed, even my nice new PC runs it gr8, but still a slight lag, get vice city for pc if its out, the lag and speed has gone better for pc users

Gr8, now i know im not alone, mine lags occasionally as well even after i upgraded my gfx card!

Btw, Pokemoner, i used to have a tnt2 m64 23mb, the BEST thing to do to improve speeds is keep draw distance in the video options to a minimum, even if it is on minimum and its still slow, thats as fast as the game is going to get! as the others said lowering resolution also helps...

lol, wait till GTA3 VC comes out on PC, seriosuly, though, if the lag ect is such a problem, have a look on a GTA3 mod site for third party fixes.

Re: GTA III performance problem

Make sure the resolution is no higher than 800x600
and drawing distance value no higher then the default setting.
