no cheats for castlevania?

PJ64 1.5 does not show any cheat options for my castlevania64 rom. The rom is fine actually (all cheats work with 1964). I even checked the internal rom name, but it says CASTLEVANIA, as it should be. Though I do not have any cheat problems with other roms on PJ64. even castlevania 2 runs with cheats.

So, how can I use castlevania cheats with PJ64 ?
PS. it does not work with PJ64 1.4 too.

Do you know if there is a way to use the cheats with that version on PJ 64 ? (must be possible since it works fine with 1964??)
something like a cheatfile-update ?
I'd really prefer PJ64 cos 1964 crashes more often than PJ64,
