Ph33r dmp (doom music player)!
This 1337 player will play midi, wav, mp3 and wma.
It does not support selecting multiple files at once, though. However, you can choose one file to play and drag files to the playlist later. It also supports playlists (.m3u and .wpl).

When playing midi and wav-files you can use special effects handed down by directmusic which the app is designed to use. When it comes to mp3 and wma, though, this isn't available.

Be sure to try it out and tell me what you think about it.
It has some bugs left as of yet...especially when it comes to the playlist.

Here's version 2.9.2
Fixes LOTS of bugs...
AND it includes mp3 and wma buffering. Very neat.

Hehe, not really...i just work on it when i find bugs mostly
Otherwise there's a little more work to do...
But then again, it's slower than winamp... :saint:

I think you probably need the VBruntime files to fix that error.

ogg vorbis, reeeeeeally good compression and touted as the actual replacement to mp3... 96kbps sounds like 160 in mp3... if you have ut2k3 check out your music folder

No ogg support yet, but it has MANY bug fixes (all the known issues has been solved) and a couple of more bugs and a few more features added to this new version 3.12.

I'll look for ogg support, though...

If you haven't solved your problem yet, do this:

Grab comgld32.ocx from here:
http://www.alltheweb.com/search?_oldhost=alltheweb.com&cat=ftp&ftype=4&query=comdlg32.ocx
or from Doom's site.

Unzip it to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM

Do Start -> Run and execute:
regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\COMDLG32.OCX

If it doesn't work, do
regsvr32 /u C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\COMDLG32.OCX

Then try another file from that list.

I bet your your using mmplayer to play your music right?
Whatever mmplayer supports, your program should run it =p

Hehe, that's true. Although the program (or player) actually interprets the extension. So I'm not QUITE sure that extensions beyond those stated WILL work.

Videos doesn't work atm, but will in time
As soon as i get my hands on one.

so basically what u did is make an (ugly) gui around the mmplayer control <_< l33t ...

1) I was never using the mmcontrol.
2) I'm using DirectMusic (directx) to play midi- and wave-files, which the player originally played. The mm api is merly for playing mp3 & wma.
