I've got a rom of perfect dark and it's running a bit slow. If you run it on a 233 mhz, it's (almost) unplayable!

It's a little slow (w/o sound !) on my machine. For full speed w/ sound you need 1.2+ Ghz



On 233Mhz some games can be playable even w/ sound on UHLE
But I recommend you to find 400Mhz ?6-2 (If your mobo supports 2.2-2.5v you can easily use K6-2 with it because K6-2 with CXT core have interesting feature - x2=x6, so if you set 66x2 with K6-2
it will be not 133Mhz but ~400 ! )

If you have PII (Slot1) - buy 450Mhz PII, you can find it for <$30

Yes, it maybe not the fastest machine now but enough for PSX emulation and running all N64 games w/o sound smoothly on 1964 and some w/ sound @ full speed. (I'm currently playing Paper Mario on 1964 w/ sound - it runs pretty fast, ok i know 'bout my V5, but V3 2K goes not much slower (i had it before V5) :1964:

Project 64 requires a lot more horsepower than 1964 but one game, which not runs on 1964 correctly (Jet Force Jemini) works pretty fast on PJ64.


Btw, will you believe or not, i've got through Perfect Dark on K6-2-300 w/ ATI Rage Pro 4Mb and PJ64 :crazy:

I had an Ati Rage Pro (8mb) too. The graphics are horrible but it runs very fast (a bit faster than with a geforce2!).
