video card issues

I have a geforce 4 mx 420 pci on my computer and I am having problems running roms on pj64 1.5. First I change the graphics plugin to jabo's nvidia open gl because for some reason the direct 3d pugins won't work for me. Anyway, I tried to use this plugin to run perfect dark and wwf no mercy and I get errors. HELP!!!:ninja:

Jabos OpenGL plugin is relatively primitive compared to some of the other plugins - it doesn't support the 2 games you have mentioned.

Do you have DX 8.1a installed? If not, then install that and then try Jabos D3D 1.5. If it is already installed, go to:

Start> Run and type DXdiag
Go to display
and ensure that D3D is set to enabled (even if it is, turn it on and off again)

Ouch, whoever sold you that MX420 ripped you off rather handily, hun. :(

In any case, other than buying a whole new card altogether, the only thing I can suggest is go to www.nvidia.com and download the latest Detonator driver set.
