Whenever I start (for instance) Lego Star Wars II/Sonic Rush, the emulator says: The Rom-Image has crashed...
What should I do?
Thanks in advance

Do you have the NDS BIOS files?

Uhh... No... Could you give me the names?

You do not need firmware.bin. Go to options>emulation setup>change it to Start Cartridge directly>options>save option>file>reset cartridge and there you go. :)

Wasn't it something like the touchscreen not working in a number of games if firmware.bin isn't present?
RockmanForte
July 26th, 2007, 00:10
No, it's working. However, some games like Megaman ZX (E) will not be read in english and will remain in japan so you might want to stick to Megaman ZX (U) or use firmware if you prefer (E) version...however. :)

There is also apparently a 512kb firmware now as wifilib homebrew has been updated to support it... just a random fyi. My firmware (dumped myself) was only 256kb though

I am not sure I understand. You mean firmware with wifi dump should be 512kb and my friend dump it for me doesn't include wifi but everything else is only 256kb ? Mine is 256kb as well.

It's already that way. And when that message pops out, the emulator crashes...:ermm:

rockmanforte: no i was meaning that newer DS models apparently have 512kb firmware instead of 256kb... mine (bought in march) had 256kb.
EDIT: Bah, it appears the 512kb is only for iQue models (chinese). disregard me :)

I got 0878_New_Super_Mario_Bros_KOR_by(*WAREZ_ WEBSITE_REFERENCE*) but no$gba-w_2.2f gave me the same problem...
From the rules (http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=21490):
DO NOT!
* Ask where to download ROMs, ISOs or BIOSes
* Provide direct links to ROMs, ISOs or BIOSes.
* Provide links to websites that link to ROMs, ISOs or BIOSes.
* Ask how to rip ISOs.

I will do that tomorrow... But the game has a little problem: It's a bit slow. Want me to post a screenshot of my settings on the emulator???
RockmanForte
July 28th, 2007, 00:04
So you can run this game ? Yes, it is slow and some normal depend on 2-D and 3-D worlds in this game. There is nothing you can do about it until speed is improvement in the future. :)

BTW... Is it possible to save states/create .sav files?
RockmanForte
July 28th, 2007, 15:46
Yes. You must know the correct save type for those games. They have different save type requirement.
By the way, if you want a little bit improvement speed. See Emulation Speed ?? Change it to 10% or 50%.... Be warn that sound is horribly so do not worry about it until the developer improvement the speed in the future. :)

How do I change the emulation speed?
From No$Gba's settings.
fjrsm
July 29th, 2007, 16:23
Yes but what's the option name?
RockmanForte
July 29th, 2007, 17:01
lol... go to no$gba>options>emulation setup> emulation speed to change 10% or 50% then go to options>save option>file>reset cartridge. It is not so hard is it ? :)
fjrsm
July 29th, 2007, 17:03
It doesn't work that well...
BTW, On Pokemon Diamond, I do great on the indoors but on the outdoors it gets too slow...
RockmanForte
July 29th, 2007, 18:08
Yeah, that's normal because this emulator is still in development. Please bear with the developer for him is working on it continously. :)

Isn't there a way to accelerate the games?

The blue box in the picture above, select a different speed (Unlimited MHz-Disaster, 10%) 50% was also suggested.

It doesn't help enough to be kept like that...

You forgot something. Change it to 10% or 50% then go to OPTIONS again and click SAVE OPTION then go to FILE and click reset cartridge. :)

It is not playable yet. Try NeonDS 0.1.0.

Try iDeaS 1.0.1.8a for now because this is not emulate yet.
By the way, at the start of the conversation.. you will see the black on the bottom but don't worry. It was a bug and ideas developer is aware of that and will fix it in the next version or so but please keep press enter until you are outside of your house then everything will be fine. :)

That's ok. But, sometimes sorry is not going to help you because mod can ban you no matter what. Know why ? You register and you knew the rules and if you didnt read the rules but do it anyway. Mods knows people and they are not stupid. Please not do it again next time, ok ? Thanks! :D

By the way, any way of improving performance on iDeaS?... no$gba throws perfect performance at 1x or unlimited-mhz-disaster 100%, i mean, perfect.. but iDeaS is more like a slideshow.

You can't. It is not emulate for save state for ds yet.

Actually I think he means even in-game save... When you reach the album that lets you make an in-game save, the emulator crashes as well even if you have the correct save type (EEPROM 64 KB) as if you were trying to save/load state.
