hmmm, me too. but when i switch to waiting games there are many in the list. even after refreshing.

hmm.. i had that problem. Thought i needed a restart or check the control system on NIS, but no. Only way im able to get on a server is from the recent tab.

Gent et al, it's just the Kaillera Master server. Every once in a while it'll go down, cuasing the All Servers tab not to work and jumbling the waiting games list. You can still get into servers by the Recent tab as well. There is nothing wrong with any settings you have, or your computer, and the master server can be down for seconds or days, it doesn't matter, but evetually it'll go back up again.

maybe if there ever is another version of kaillera it will be less buggy and not have that error

Everyone, wheter gens, mame, or pj64k, all get the same error at the same time. It's not the program, your computer, or your settings. GOT IT?

I have not yet heard from any Offcial Kiallera Spokesman about this situation but it is painfully clear this is a right across the board issue and has been out for a while.

I have posted news on the Emutastic Main Page (http://emutastic.emulation64.com/) The entire Kaillera Servers/Network seem to be down as when you try to connect it lists 0 servers are available and although you see the recent servers you can not connect to them.

@ Jimbot: i don't find the down for a few seconds or a couple of days acceptable, if they expect people to use the service, then they should also expect their users to be informed of any problems or malfunctions its just common decency.

aslo everyone can't get into servers by the Recent tab as you seem to say you can, maybe you want to check that again :)

I can get in my recent server tab just fine. Just because those servers are listed in the recent servers tab, doesn't mean the server's themselves are up. The one that are up, will be accessible though. And yes, it's just the master kaillera server goofin up. It does that every now and then. The server list is only available from the master kaillera server. You can also enter servers by using their IP address.

If you don't get the servers, then try again by closing your pj64k, then opening it again. If it still doesn't work, then just try it later. I say, be thankful for the Netplay expierience when it's up, and when it's not, then deal with it. Recent Servers and waiting games should be enough to still enjoy the service, should it not? We didn't pay for kailelra master server, so we shouldn't expect much more out of it then what it's already giving us.

If you lost internet for a week Im sure you would be right on the phone to your ISP bitching that you couldnt play your Precious pj64k and how bad it was you wasnt warned of the lost of "Service" Oh Wait Kaillera Is a "Service Too" :P

It works pretty bad on N64 emulated games, but kaillera works amazingly well with arcade/genesis emulators. And yes, kaillera is free. And the author of kaillera hasn't updated it in over a year and the fate of kaillera is in limbo at the moment. There is not much one can do other than to try to enjoy something they got for free. ;) Much like any free emulator.

I would venture a guess here that the kaillera.com service used for keeping track of all the servers has either crashed or purposely been taken down for whatever reason

It's clearly obvious that the project is no longer being actively maintained, never the less that doesnt detract from the fact that someone else can maintain a list of kaillera servers on the internet on a website, users could go to that website and albeit crappy, just enter the name of the server they wish to connect to

just an idea.. if anyone is up for it, I know I'd visit the "new" kaillera site, the old one obviously is dying :)

as an alternative, for those of you not looking to play random people online in street figher 2, if you are trying to meet up with some friends you'll probably get the best performance if one of you runs a kaillera server on your local machine... kaillera.com has several server flavors I believe - this isn't as point and click as it use to be, but there is several ways to still keep it alive
