Alright, here we go. "Raw64life Tourney 1" is officialy underway. Below are the rules, deadlines, brackets, and tourney profiles which will aid you in getting your matches done on time. Brackets will be updated periodically on my site (http://www.angelfire.com/bug/chaos1/1v1brack.htm). Hopefully the tournament will run as smoothly as registration did. Good luck everybody.

Rules
________________________________________ _

- You must be using the lastest version of the Project64k N64 emulator (version 0.13)
- You must be using the ROM "Super Smash Bros. (U) [!]"
- It is up to you to contact your opponent to set up a match. If you are having problems contacting your opponent, tell me and I will address the situation. Failure to complete the match before the deadline will result in a double disqualification unless I am notified beforehand of a legit reason as to why the match could not take place.
- If a double disqualification occurs, the person who was scheduled to play the winner of the match will receive a bye. There will be no replacements
- The only cheat codes to be turned on are the "Have All Characters" Gameshark code and the "Mushroom Kingdom" level code
- Both players will start with a stock of 5 lives at the beginning of each round
- You can pick a maximum of 3 different characters to use during the tourney.
- You must select a stage that both you and your opponent agree on fighting in for each round
- In the event of desync, restart the match. If there are any problems with desync, such as desync occurring every time you try to play the match or a desync that occurred extremely close to the end of a match where the winner was clear, bring the problem to me
- In the event of outstanding lag, I trust that you guys will be able to solve the problem on your own
- The match will be awarded to the player who wins 2 out of 3 games
- After the match, you must report to me the match, the winner, and the loser. I will trust whomever reports the result of the match first as long as there is no argument from the opponent. You can report the scores on the tourney threads on Emutalk.net and Kaillera64 (here) or report them directly to me
- Severe violation of any of these rules will result in a disqualification

Deadlines

I am VERY STRICT about deadlines. If a match is not completed by the deadline and no legit reason is given, both participants will be disqualified. The person who was to fight the winner of that match will receive a bye. There will be no replacements.

Official Tourney Start: Friday, October 31st, 2003
Deadline for 1st Round Matches: Sunday, November 16th, 2003
Deadline for 2nd Round Matches: Sunday, November 30th, 2003
Deadline for Quarterfinal Matches: Sunday, December 7th, 2003

Note: There are no deadlines for the Semifinal or Final matches. I trust that if you make it this far you are competent enough to finish the matches at a reasonable date (read: ASAP).

John Weidman!? That is the real name of the famous 'The Dumper', a developer who is involved with SNES emulation primarily. You'll find his name mentioned in the ZSNES readmes and he is an active member of their message boards (ZSNES and Snes9x boards). Must be a coincidence! :happy:
